Pockets of Promise is providing underprivileged children a safe haven to keep them focused on education and off the streets, a place where they can learn and be able to compete with other students in future.
The schools in the communities we serve lack financial resources, leading to educational challenges such as crumbling buildings, absentee teachers and lack of teaching supplies. Most children graduate without learning to read or write. With our After-school Programs, we:
Teaches children the fundamentals of reading and writing in English.
Gives children an opportunity to participate in the arts– painting, singing, dancing and acting.
Teaches leadership and mentorship skills to children so that they can dream big.Â
Our goal at the Bridge Foundation is to really speak to the needs of children and women in the third world. We want to answer the age old question of what is the best way to do the development work.
Pockets of Promise is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt social justice charitable organization dedicated to changing the lives of poor children around the world through education and proper nutrition. We are headquartered in Atlanta, GA with centers currently in Africa and Asia. All contributions designated for specific projects shall be applied to those projects. Contributions which exceed the needs of the given project will go to fund similar pressing needs.
