Mary lives in a coastal community with her dad and two siblings in the Western Region in Ghana. Mary is in JHS 1 and enjoys learning, especially science. She attends the after-school program and is excited about the progress she is making. When time permits, Mary can be found having fun and dancing with her friends. Life is challenging for Mary and her family since her mom passed away and her dad finds it difficult to get work.
Pockets of Promise is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt social justice charitable organization dedicated to changing the lives of poor children around the world through education and proper nutrition. We are headquartered in Atlanta, GA with centers currently in Africa and Asia. All contributions designated for specific projects shall be applied to those projects. Contributions which exceed the needs of the given project will go to fund similar pressing needs.
