He loves learning with computers and in the future would like to work in the I.T. field. Despite the hardships in the family, he focuses on his studies so he can become who he wants to be.
Sarah lives with her mom, dad, and four siblings in the Western Region of Ghana. Sarah has a big personality. She is a nursery student and is making a great effort toward her studies. Despite the daily challenges and lack of proper nutrition, Sarah is determined to make the most of her education. She attends the Pockets of Promise after-school program. Her mom is a trader, and her dad is a farmer.
Ishmael loves to entertain people with jokes, acting as a comedian and showing funny dance steps to make people laugh. Ishmael is in class 4, and he goes to school every day and comes to the POP after-school classes daily. His mom is a trader, and his father is a mason. At times, he helps his father at work to provide for the family.
Jackie is funny, and she is full of personality. She is in class one, and her favorite subject is I.C.T. Jackie is making excellent progress in her studies. When Jackie is not in school, Jackie enjoys playing with her friends. She lives with her parents and one other sibling.
James lives with his parents and four siblings in the Western Region of Ghana. James is hilarious. He is in class 1, loves going to school, and his favorite subject is RME. James enjoys reading the Bible and singing Gospel songs. He wants to become a pastor in the future. James attends POP after-school classes every day, and His mom is unemployed, and his dad is a driver.
Obed is funny and a strong person; Obed is in class 4. He wants to be a Merchant Accountant in the future. When not he is not in school and POP classes, he studies Maths to excel at it. He stays with his parents and three other siblings. His mom is a trader, and his dad is a driver. The income of
his parents is not enough to provide for their needs.
Hannah is very quiet and full of energy. She loves to read, sing and dance. She stays with her parents and four siblings in the Effia-kwesimintsim District in the Western Region of Ghana. Hannah enjoys science lab in school and wants to be a nurse in the future. Her mom is unemployed, and her dad is a driver. Life has been challenging because her mom is unemployed, and her father’s income is insufficient to provide for the family.
Daniel lives with his parents and five other siblings in Ghana. He likes to learn, he is sociable and loves sports. He enjoys attending the Pockets of Promise after-school program every day. His mom is a farmer, and his dad is a palm wine tapper. When Daniel is not in school, he usually escorts his father to tap the palm trees.
Pockets of Promise is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt social justice charitable organization dedicated to changing the lives of poor children around the world through education and proper nutrition. We are headquartered in Atlanta, GA with centers currently in Africa and Asia. All contributions designated for specific projects shall be applied to those projects. Contributions which exceed the needs of the given project will go to fund similar pressing needs.
