Joan lives with her grandmother in a remote village in Uganda. She is an orphan, her mother died when she was three months old. Life is extremely difficult for them. They often have no food to eat and live in a house which will collapse on them any day. Joan hopes to be a fashion designer in future. She is currently not in school due to financial hardship. She enjoys watching movies.
Pockets of Promise is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt social justice charitable organization dedicated to changing the lives of poor children around the world through education and proper nutrition. We are headquartered in Atlanta, GA with centers currently in Africa and Asia. All contributions designated for specific projects shall be applied to those projects. Contributions which exceed the needs of the given project will go to fund similar pressing needs.
