Margaret lives with her elderly grandmother in a remote village in Uganda. Her mother abandoned her and she does not know her father. Life is very difficult for them as her grandmother cannot work. They rely on the generosity of neighbors for food and other necessities. She is in school but often has to drop out for an entire semester due to lack of finances. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She is in kindergarten where her performance is average. She enjoys playing and singing.
